Kansas City Museum - 15 July 2009

Deb, Deb, Sue Ellen, Jeanne and Larry provided Israeli and Jewish activities all day at the Kansas City Museum in northeast Kansas City. The activities included films of Israel, dancing, songs, playing dreidel, reading stories, sampling hummus and challah, and more dancing.

Memorial Day - 25 May 2009

Jeanne and Deb held the Israeli flag at the Memorial Day ceremony at Liberty Memorial. Mel played taps on his trumpet.

Yom HaAtzmaut - 29 April 2009

Deb manned an information booth at the Independence Day festivities held at the Jewish Community Center. The Tikvah Dancers led traditional Israeli dancing.

Northland Ethnic Festival - 28 March 2009

The Tikvah Dancers represented Israel, both in dance and providing tourism information, on an icy day in Kansas City's northland.

Flower, Lawn and Garden Show - 27 March 2009

Deb participated as one of the Ethnic Enrichment Commission's greeters for the show, and entertained the crowd with crazy stories about Chelm.
