Outreach at Harmony Middle School
Deb and Laurie provided outreach to two 8th grade art classes at Harmony Middle School (Blue Valley School District). They showed a tourism video, taught two Isreali dances, and read a Chelm story. The students were provided with an Isreali flag, an Israeli flag temporary tattoo, and an information booklet.

Ethnic Enrichment Festival - 8/21-23/2009
Israel again had a food booth at the Ethnic Enrichment Festival, held in Swope Park, Kansas City, MO. Our menu included hummus, felafel, macaroons, mint lemonade and a dill pickle on a stick. We also served apples and honey (a Rosh HaShanah festival food) on Sunday. The hummus and felafel were prepared from scratch in the Jewish Community Center kitchen earlier that week. Our booth facade was refabricated by Pat O. and Alan Morton -- it was a joy to put up and take down. Many wonderful volunteers staffed the booth. The estimated attendance to the Festival this year was 45,000.
